Lake Akan Ainu Theater
Ikor is Japan’s first indoor theatre specializing in Ainu culture.
Our round stage is encircled by guest seats. At its center is a live fire, which is indispensable to we Ainu.
Here, we present our ikor (treasures) — stories passed down over the generations.
And now, as the importance of coexistence with nature is keenly felt, we believe that these treasures should be shared with all people of our time.
